How Maytag Warranty Claims Work
To initiate a Maytag warranty claim, the technician verifies appliance eligibility using the model and serial number against Whirlpool’s active warranty database. If the failure is covered, the repair is performed using OEM Maytag parts supplied through the authorized warranty parts channel, and the claim is filed with Whirlpool on your behalf. The customer pays no service-call or labor fee for covered in-warranty repairs. Failures resulting from installation errors, unauthorized modifications, or cosmetic damage are not covered under the Maytag factory warranty.

Plan pricing varies by appliance type and coverage tier, starting from $95 per year for smaller Maytag appliances and $145 per year for refrigerators and ranges. Extended plan repairs are processed through the same authorized channel as factory-warranty work, ensuring genuine parts and documented service records.
